The Perfect Patience

reflection

Wake up in the morning

My reflection staring back at me

The person I know so best

Yet the least I cannot see

Lines around me eyes

Wrinkles from the smile

Projected shadow of the past

Walks with me each mile

Some say that they know me

Yet who just I cannot trust

When the tears I’ve shed

Erode the heart to rust

Who Am I?

Who are you to judge?

For everything you don’t know

This is just my grudge

Advice is given often

Yet it bounces in the ears

Fake smile and nods of heads

Mechanical for years

Lines around me eyes

Wrinkles from the smile

Projected shadow of the past

Walks with me each mile

For there is only one who knows me

The one I cannot test

My personal reflection

The one that I trust best

For everyone is a voice

Yet that’s the difference

My voice is internal

The perfect patience
