The arrival of spring

Nothing quite beats spring for uplifting the spirit. I never truly appreciated what a glorious time of the year it was until I moved to Sweden. Winter back home usually consisted of a few weeks and the rest were merely windy months until the sun came up.

Here in Scandinavia it’s different, the long drawn out winter days tend to take an effect on some peoples morale. But just looking outside the window today people are sat on the grass with their children, or just relaxing, and it’s only 14 degrees!

One drawback to writing most of the day is that when I get caught up in the moment I always tend to lose track of time. This often means that the brief spring sunshine is gone.

If the weather is like this next week, then I will certainly be out enjoying the rejuvenated atmosphere around. Nothing like sunshine to encourage the creativity within.
