Poem – Never too late

Dreaming of the future
When the world just seemed so old
Seeing life through childish eyes
No story to be told
Hopes and aspirations
Were there to just define
Problems that will come my way
Too distant to be mine
Endless days of sunshine
Skies of purest blue
Looking back through aged old eyes
It all just seemed so true
With age they say comes wisdom
The Lessons that I learned
A youthful heart of promises
Now just scorched and burned
If I could turn back the hands of time
Would I do it all the same?
Another chance of destiny
Another shot at fame
Regret is just a feeling
Of the unaccomplished soul
I should not be so greedy
I need to take control
Life never works out
The way we dreamed back then
It can begin at any time
It’s just a case of when
Looking back through aged old eyes
I know have no remorse
The path I walked down as a child
Simply will change course
So once more into the sunshine!
Let me take the next steps slow
For as the heart grows older
I define just where I go

I have read some of your Poems and they are very inspirational.

I myself write Poems and would love to Post one on your site if you would allow me to.

It is in memory of my daughter who died suddenly in 72 hours and it has only been two years for us. I find some comfort in expressing myself through words.
    Sincerely.
