Leave thy city (Poem)

Crossed the oceans to a land anew
Untouched by life with eyes of blue
Lured by tales of city joy
A journey to find Metropolis Boy
Took thy hand with a promise of love
Captured my soul from up above
One by one your friends did leave
Yet the tricks were tumbling out your sleeve
Promises of a future wrapped up in bliss
Yet I was stabbed so hard, sealed with a lying kiss
Discarded like a piece of dirt
Kicked and punched until it hurt
No remorse you had no pity
Left me for the love of this city
Away I went and found my pride
Now feel revenge you cannot hide
There will be no physical pain
Just one swift blow leaving you insane
For just as life was becoming fun
I blast my answer from legal gun
Your time is up, you cannot stay
The ship to home soon sails away
For as you said you have no pity
Turn away and leave thy city
