Just my self-charade (poem)

A fire born internal
Into a life, I did not know
A world that is oyster
On this sea, I cannot row

I give my love to easy
Returns to be abused
Those I love and whom I trust
The list becomes confused

My soul is so diluted
I don’t know who I’m meant to be
Empty words they cut my flesh
The wounds are here to see

I fade back to the darkness
My place of solitude
No shadows to control my fear
This heart cannot be viewed

I’ll emerge into the sunlight
Till the twilight starts to fade
A fire born internal
Or just my self-charade?
