Flames of summer - a poem igniting memories of pas Flames of summer - a poem igniting memories of past summer days

Solar embers warm the skin
Warmth awakens me
Rays glisten through the window
Defrosting what will be

The darkness it is vanquished
Replaced by flames of love
Skin scorched of dreams to be
From happiness above

An ocean of blue above me
My eyes are lost in trance
Occasional whisp of whiteness
Leads my mind to dance

Sparkles on the water
Horizon never ends
Nights that last forever
Loving what life sends

Summer lasts so briefly
So let’s make the most of the time
For abusing it’s earthly beauty
Surely is a crime

Golden beaches underfoot
The purest skies so bright
An earthly paradise to enjoy
With all our purest might

Goodnight you legend Goodnight you legend
ow. What news to wake up to. It was only last week ow. What news to wake up to. It was only last week we last spoke. Just looking at your last message, I wish I had answered.

We met that summers day in Stockholm with Sandra. I remember offering to carry your bag, I thought you had put weights in their to work out. Of course it was full of Norrlands!.

Over the years we talked a lot. Shared memories of our love of 90's movies & music. You sent me that song "Det Regnar I Boden". We never did get to enjoy that beer in the rain or finish that song we wanted to work on. I will finish that for you.

I'm not good at writing things like this. But you know me, being a writer and poet I wrote this one for you after I heard the news this morning.

I will blast Born Slippy out loud this evening my friend and will raise a glass to you whilst watching Human Traffic this evening.

Rest In Paradise Tommy. Until the next one my "bro from another mo". I will miss our conversations and next time I see a rainbow I will think of this poem I wrote for you

"A Forever Rainbow" (For Tommy)

Souls, they are so fleeting,
As they roam across the earth.
Directions do not bind us;
We fly in the wind from birth.

Paths often cross in life
Some may call it fate,
Others say coincidence;
To that, I can relate.

The first time that our paths crossed
Was under a summer sky.
We wandered through the city,
Watching life go by.

Though our time was brief,
We built a bond of love
Two souls who laughed so much in life,
Now you’ve soared above.

Memories never leave us;
They are footprints in the heart.
You left one so deep, my friend
That is what set you apart.

Fly high in the sky now;
You are a rainbow after the rain.
Each time I see one,
I know you are free from pain.

Eyes That Cast No Shadow - A poem about two sets o Eyes That Cast No Shadow - A poem about two sets of eyes meeting across a crowded room. Time stops still and forever life is changed.

Two people gain a connection

Across a crowded room

Two sets of eyes connected,

They sparkle in the gloom

Each soul has a window,

Yet it's rare to see within,

For only those that gain that trust

Can see what's there and been

Time stops in a moment,

The world's heart stops its beat

A frozen passage in time,

Entwined and so complete

The stare is hypnotic,

Almost drawing two souls inward,

To a world of untold moments

Where the magic can begin

Slowly, sound surrounds us,

Life surrounds us once more

A synchronized blink,

Our eyes turn towards the floor

We go our separate ways now,

Yet we smile and share a glance

For that moment is called destiny,

So may I have this dance?
