I look up towards the heavens
Amidst a sky of grey
And ask the eternal question
Why did you go away?
Heavens gained an angel
Yet my life is empty and devoid
Memories flood through my mind
A heart abandoned and destroyed
My eyes have tried through crying
I no longer have the tears
Just a feeling of abandonment
That will last for many years
And now our journey it is over
I guess I will never understand
Why your no longer with us
Did god have this planned?
I take hope we will meet again
Until that day your name lives on
My life will never be the same
Simply now your gone

The eternal question…'why'…never seems to have an appropriate answer…maybe cause there is none…the end of life is always the same…but always at the wrong time…thanks for sharing you poem.
