Light From Torrid Rain (Poem)

Rainbow

Time once spent in darkness

Reaching for the sky,

Illuminating rays of hope

The belief it will not die

The blackest days eternal

Submerged in a sea of black

Its wave tossed me like a rag-doll

There seemed like no way back

My eyes they closed so tightly

Yet I still could clearly see

A day of purest brightness

The time you spent with me

Hope is only over

When the final breath is drawn,

I’ll cling on to the image

To the day we are reborn,

For that is all that’s left now

All that can remain

For you are the light that dances

Amongst the torrid rain,
