Eliminating those clothes I do not need

Let the clear out begin! I have eight weeks now until I move to Sweden and have a lot of clothes to sort out. Clothes that I have had for a few years, some I’ve worn and some I have never worn (some even have tags on!)

I cannot take too much with me and will have to store a lot at my parents house to ship over at a later date so I was wondering how people sort out their clothes? I’m not clueless about fashion but on the other hand I am hardly Gok Wan. So here is my method. I won’t do it all in one clear out; rather go through several rounds of elimination (I feel like Simon Cowell!)

The sort our process will be in order

• Clothes I don’t like the look of
• Clothes I have had more than five years
• Clothes I have not worn
• Tacky holiday clothes I picked up as souvineers

That should be enough to begin with! Hope I have some items left to wear! Also I won’t be throwing these away I will be giving them to charity.

    Hi
I think your plan sounds great 🙂
I should do one my self.

One category I miss that you might have included in one off your category is the comfy clothes. Clothes you love wearing but you might just have them at home, indoors, in the country or on the balcony.
We had that saying in my family or we still do. Balcony clothes = comfy clothes that might not be the latest fashion but they are to comfy to throw away 🙂 Not worn out clothes, just less fashion and less pretty. =)

    xx
