Autumn Equinox – New Poem

A crimson velvet blanket
Adorns the autumn ground
Cushioned air of silence
Barely makes a sound
Winds of change they beckon
Life is glistened by the moon
Summer felt eternal
Autumn could not come to soon
Fate brought us together
Glances across a room
Fear of the unknown
Let normal life resume
But a chance was taken
Hands were held that night
Hearts opened and spoke so deep
The feeling felt so right
Some they call it destiny
Others call it chance
In our Autumn Equinox
The wind beats to our dance
There are no rules around us
We make our path this day
Let’s walk atop the auburn leaves
Together on our way
