The mornings are getting brighter,
As winter draws its last breath.
The mist forms off the meadows,
Darkness is feeling its death.
Longer days are upon us,
The temperatures begin to rise.
Rainbow clothing adorns the city,
A toast to warmer skies.
Summer soon approaches,
Endless hours of fun.
The bright Nordic mornings,
Daylight that lasts till it’s done.
The summer lasts forever,
Until the autumn chill.
The leaves that form a carpet,
It’s like time has stood still.
Nights are getting longer,
The Ice Queen wakes from her bed.
Blasts a breath of winter,
A frozen land of dread.
So I sit here in the warmth,
Glowing by a fire,
Longing for spring to start again,
For the darkness I soon grow tired.
