Sad to hear that ACL and knee injuries have forced Linköping player Tilda Heimersson to retire from the game, aged just 22.
Plagued by constant injuries’ Tilda’s brave comeback efforts were unfortunately not enough and doctors advised her to leave the game. Tilda arrived from Smedby in 2008 played 23 games and scored one goal. One of Sweden’s brightest midfield talents.
There seems to be too many ACL/knee injuries in the women’s game lately and hope that no more have to end their careers so prematurely.
We all wish Tilda a fantastic and successful future in whatever she chooses to do in life. Thanks for all the games you played for Linköping!
