Eyes That Cast No Shadow - A poem about two sets of eyes meeting across a crowded room. Time stops still and forever life is changed.

Two people gain a connection

Across a crowded room

Two sets of eyes connected,

They sparkle in the gloom

Each soul has a window,

Yet it's rare to see within,

For only those that gain that trust

Can see what's there and been

Time stops in a moment,

The world's heart stops its beat

A frozen passage in time,

Entwined and so complete

The stare is hypnotic,

Almost drawing two souls inward,

To a world of untold moments

Where the magic can begin

Slowly, sound surrounds us,

Life surrounds us once more

A synchronized blink,

Our eyes turn towards the floor

We go our separate ways now,

Yet we smile and share a glance

For that moment is called destiny,

So may I have this dance?

Storm clouds darken the horizon
Rain it falls like tears
A sky of charcoaled canvas
Painted through the years

Blackened fog surrounds me
Hands grasp around my neck
Lightning blazed around
Life is such a wreck

Sun it casts a shadow
Secluded from within
Sillouted saviour
That I feel within

Piercing light splits the darkness
Rays break through the black
Smash against the ground below
I hear the sudden whack

Rebounding to the darkness
Sky now like no other
Natures purest beauty
No longer undercover

Essence so serene
Spectrum of pure light
Arching over life
Protector to the night

Kaledospcioc presence
Rainbow in the storm
Aura of real beauty
Light so pure and warm

Wrap your colours around me
Engulf me in your love
Black cannot pierce the soul
That shines from up above

A Poem about hitting rock bottom in life and realising that the only way is up again.

Falling so far down

Into the darkness of despair,

To a place of isolation,

In a world that does not care.

Feeling all around me,

I try to hold on to a rope.

Just a feeling I can stand up,

A simple ray of hope.

My eyes squint into the darkness,

Making out a shape.

Perhaps a slab of granite,

Or a hero in a cape?

Looking up into the darkness,

I see a place to climb,

A distant light that beckons.

Now, this is my time.

For when you hit rock bottom,

Upwards is the only place to go.

Stand up and dust yourself off now,

It's onwards with the show.
