This little town called routine

This little town called routine

Wings once clipped by routine

Soar high into the sky

Eyes that once were blinded

So waterless and dry

Flight to new horizons

Leave the boredom behind

Jealousy does not live here

Nothing more to find

A town that has one story

Pure solitary vine

One voice against all reason

Shouting over mine

No barriers to hold me

Escape is in my hands

My destiny awaits me

In better brighter lands

The sun it casts no shadow

Without this poisoned cloud

No darkness to consume all in

Nor suffocating shroud

This little town called routine

I bid farewell to thee

The boring days are over

You did this to me

One day I may return

Yet you will not recognise my face

For everything, you thought you knew

Has gone without a trace
