This has been the toughest start to a New Year I can recall since the dark winter of 2007. The year will not suddenly improve, it will be a journey of challenges, both physical and mental.
Life is never easy. When we experience the darkness of life we learn to appreciate the light we take for granted.
Much happening right now that is pushing me to the limits. But those who know me know I have never, ever, backed down from the fight against life.
Somehow when the storm hits I have woken up alive. Somehow when the flood washes over us I still land up on dry land.
This is going to be the toughest, roughest and hardest six months I have faced in ten years.
But I know that no matter how much life throws my way, I refuse to be put on my knees.
Be strong, be alive.
