In solitude I dwell (poem)

In solitude I dwell (poem)

Life’s hand tightens around me

I’ve nowhere left to run

Darkness till the horizon

Existence of no sun

Walls close all around me

Running out of breath

Trapped inside my prison

Facing up to death

One small ray of sunshine

Shines through broken floor

A sanctum of survival

A feeling I adore

The black it comes so quickly

I feel it on my spine

Headfirst into the light now

The warmth is so divine

How long I shall remain here

Only time will tell

For here I need to contemplate

In solitude I dwell
