Death has no sorry – Poem

Death has no sorry – Poem

As I lay here, weak and spent,
I can’t help but look back with repent
My memories they come to my mind,
Of all the lost things I wish I could find

I see the faces of those I’ve lost,
Wondering if it was all worth the cost
Will I see them and will in end here,
My life at an end, I leave with no fear

The moments I cherished, I hold to my heart,
But they’re outnumbered by when we’re apart
. I wish I could relive them all over again,
And savor the memories, minus the pain

Now I fear what’s to be,
Of leaving all I know, and what maybe
I pray they’ll find the strength to carry on,
Even though I’ll soon be gone

As I take my final breath,
I hope to find peace in death
May my loved ones remember me with love,
I hope they find solace in the heavens above.
