“Dean you should be dead”

“Dean you should be dead”

One week ago today I was in London. Having a beer with a friend and his parents. The next day I took a train from London to Paris, had a meal in a restaurant and then flew home to Sweden.

When I landed I had a few little bites or bumps on my wrist. I thought it was nothing; I went home and fell asleep.

The next morning I knew something was wrong. I had hundreds, if not thousands of these bites/bumps all over my body. I called a doctor, he called an ambulance. I knew something was wrong.

After several hours of tests on my blood the answer was

”Dean, you should be dead”

I have heard many words in my life, many things said but words such as this echo for eternity.

Somehow my blood had been contaminated with mercury. This is the red stuff you get in thermometers. This had entered my blood and poisoned my system, shut down my liver, kidneys and stopped blood going to my heart.

One week on I am home, isolated from the outside world. But surviving. Today was the first time I was allowed out, with the approval of doctors, in a week. My bloods “bumps” have been reduced by 79%. By Monday I should be back to 100%

But those words ”You should be dead”

Wake up call.

We live our lives by dictation of society. Nothing controls our fate or future but us. Live IS TO SHORT.

Tell those you love that you love them, tell those that mean something that they are important. Above all do not waste time.

You have no second chance in life.
