Autumn Equinox (Poem)

Autumn Equinox (Poem)

A crimson velvet blanket
Adorns the autumn ground.
Cushioned air of silence
Barely makes a sound.
Winds of change they beckon
Life is glistened by the moon.
Summer felt eternal
Autumn could not come too soon.

Fate brought us together
Glances across a room.
Fear of the unknown
Let normal life resume.
But a chance was taken
Hands were held that night.
Hearts opened and spoke so deep
The feeling felt so right.

Some they call it destiny
Others call it chance.
In our autumn equinox
The wind beats to our dance.
There are no rules around us
We make our path this day.
Let’s walk atop the auburn leaves
Together on our way
