I find it amazing that listening to a song that you have not heard in a while instantly takes you back to a place in your childhood.
It can be a positive, or a negative moment but the song is so ingrained in our memories that it transports you straight away. This song in particular was played in a bar last night. For me the memory was of the summer of 1990. The hottest and longest summer of my life. A fantastic world cup, the year I started further education and the times where I said goodbye to many friends and new ones were made. We all have songs that transform us.
