Fifteen Minutes Of Shame (Poem)

Fifteen Minutes Of Shame (Poem)

The days when we famous
Were printed in black and white
Whatever mistakes we ever made
Eroded overnight

Today we want our fame
The amount of likes we yearn
How many followers rules our lives
When will we ever learn

We create a digital footprint
A moment in the cloud
Where the delete button will not work
It’s shared within the online crowd

Whatever you did for fame
It will never go away
The pictures that you tried to hide
Forever they will stay

So think before you post online
For it could damage not just your career
But the fame you sought once so young
A search will re-appear

Twitter became X
Facebook evolved to Meta
Just remember all you post is saved
To be safe is always better
