My home (New Poem)

My home (New Poem)

Return to where you came from
Where memories were born
A place etched into your heart
Secrets they were sworn

The child becomes the adult
But still you want to play
Removed from the city life
In every single way

Home is where the heart is!
At least that’s what I read
Maybe it’s just comforting
When your mother makes the bed

Nothing ever changes
Yet that’s what makes it home
Same old landscape, same old face
Wherever you will roam

You need no need to visit
Always an open door
Home is always part of you
For now and evermore
