Free to Fly (Poem)

Free to Fly (Poem)

A caged bird with a yearning

To soar amongst the sky

Shackled by your jealousy

Watched by evil eye

You tease a door that’s open

Then slam it in my face

Chains are bound so tightly

To keep your toy in place

Your shout beats to a rhythm

To which I’m tapping hard

Eroding what keeps me in place

Metallic broken shard

When you least expect it

I’m finally flying free

Live your life in solitude

For all eternity
