Well it’s just less than one month till Christmas and so far my dad’s present has been paid for. I know that he gets the same each year (Chelsea football top) so one day I may just surprise him with something totally different.
The above lines I wrote this morning but it got me thinking. My dad is 63 this year and my mum is 60 next year. Each year I seem to either trawl Ebay in the hope of getting them something that will not end up in the garage or gathering dust. But it just seems harder each time.
This year my parents’ generation has lessened in my life, uncles have passed away and friends of my parents have moved on so one day next week I’m going to take a day out and ensure that 2010 will be a year that Christmas presents that my parents receive will be ones to be remembered.
Now here is the main question, separate or a joint present? Any ideas……
